Submissions - Hamilton City's Western Green Belt

The time has come to make a submission on the City Councils Western Green Belt Plan. While there is a reduction of proposals that affect the Club directly they still have potential to affect the Club both financially and operationally

So please take a little time to make a submission on the plan

The key points that concern the Club are on the white board in the playing room at the Club - take some time to read them before you submit

If you wish to re-read the Councils proposed plan follow this link

Thanks

Hamilton West Town Green Belt Masterplan

The Hamilton City Council has released the draft version of its West Town Green Belt and opened public submissions on the plan. The plan covers changes in the "Green Belt" between Hamilton Lake, the Rugby and Cricket parks and then the area around the Bridge Club before finishing at the Waikato River. These submissions run until the 26th May and it is important for the Club that members read the plan and then comment on the draft plan.

These proposals in the plan have potential to effect the Club both financially and operationally. More information will be available shortly but to start the process here is a link to the Council's draft plan - the relevant section pertaining to the Club can be found on page 41 of the PDF ( page 80 of the document enclosed )

Rodney Harris

The Club sadly notes the passing of our member Rodney Harris. Rodney, whose home club was Morrinsville, was a long time Wednesday night player and suddenly passed away during the week. We extend our sympathy to Rodney's family, friends and members of the Morrinsville Bridge Club
