RealBridge v Face to Face

Back at the end of February the Club undertook a short survey to see what members' preferences were for playing bridge at the Club and Face to Face or on-line via RealBridge. The response to the survey was very good with around 130 replies which is approximately 50% of the current membership. The Club thru the committee is watching all the bridge being played currently and considering possible changes in play at the end of each of the current events ( i.e. every 3 weeks ). The other good news is that the majority of members seem likely to return to "bridge as it was" once the current Covid peak has passed

Below is a summary of that survey which shows over the whole Club a preference for Face to Face Bridge and restoration of bridge at the Club-rooms once the Covid peak being experienced subsides.
There are breakdowns for each Club session ( both by numbers and percentage ) of whether the players of that session preferred Face to Face or RealBridge. The numbers here don't add correctly across all sessions compared with the survey numbers as some members play more than one session a week

The final two graphs give the Club an idea on how the members see RealBridge and play RealBridge in place of regular bridge and tournaments. Having now held our first on-line tournament for our members we were a little disappointed in the response but hope to improve this by helping those who haven't but would like to take part in on-line events

There was in the survey a small number of requests for help with playing RealBridge. While as a Club we are unable to guarantee to fix your problem, if we do have a member with the skills who can help with your problem we will make approaches. If you have this type of problem then please talk to or email our secretary with your details and problem. Specifically we need to know the type of computer you are using ( so we can match a member ), the specific issue and whether anyone else has attempted to fix the problem already

 Thanks for taking part
