TWITs 2020

FOR ALL Twits PLAYERS - current and future

We noticed there weren't as many teams taking part in the Waikato Interclub Teams (TWITs) this year and some feedback provided was that Friday evening was not great timing for some, for various reasons ie finished too late for a Friday night (end of week) or interfered with Saturday tournament participation etc. Can you please let us know whether you and/or your friends or team-mates would prefer to play next year if TWITS was to be held in Hamilton on:

1) Friday evening 7-10 pm

2) Sunday afternoon 2-5 pm

3) Sunday afternoon 1-4 pm

4) Doesn't matter, happy with any of these options

Directors will be asking for feedback the week after next. Please don’t vote on more than one night.

It's a Wrap for the TWITs

Eighteen teams met for the last of six rounds of the 2019 TWITs (The Waikato Interclub Teams) on Friday 23rd of August. The six Open teams had completed a double round-robin over the preceding five outings and the Intermediate/Junior section of ten teams a single round-robin plus a filler last month.

The Hamilton Intermediate team Cinders which was comprised principally of Karen Thomson, Kim Thompson, Roger Gunning, and Ian Ross with three or four ring-ins over the season had held Indie TWIT hostage for the whole season. They were so far in front that we promoted them to the Open section for the last night so we could run a Multiple Teams event. They even came third in that session.

Restricted Teams - starting 29 August

The format for this event has been changed - the "Restricted" requirement for the Teams has been removed

Teams are able to be either -

* a regular team of 4 players with NO player grade requirements

* a pair of players - no restriction on grades with these pairs being drawn to make up teams

Any queries then please contact Dallas
