Our successful Intermediate Swiss Pairs

Intermediate Pairs

Once again Hamilton has hosted a successful tournament – this time the Open/Intermediate tournament on Saturday 22 August.
Our club was fortunate to be sponsored for the tournament by Heartland Bank, whose contribution and attendance was greatly appreciated.
28 pairs contested the Open section, while a further 20 pairs took part in the Intermediate competition. We were pleased to host a good number of members of other clubs who enjoyed our Hamilton hospitality

The Open section top 3 was almost a clean sweep for the Auckland region with Carol Richardson and Richard Solomon 1st, Patrick Carter and Grant Jarvis 2nd and Steve Boughey and our own Karen Harris 3rd

The Intermediate section winners were Graham Saunders and John Little from the Waikato club, with Kay Wright from Tauranga and Kim Grounds of Cambridge taking 2nd place and our own Elaine Rayner and Bea Hovens in 3rd

Congratulations to all these pairs!
