36 pairs took part in the Matamata Pairs event on 15 September - the 7th of 8 rounds in the Waikato Bays League. Winners were Hamilton's Stan Rinaldi & Helen Rinaldi by a comfortable margin
In 3rd place Megan and Leanne consolidated their lead in the Waikato Bays Intermediate League with now a 9 points lead of the final round in Cambridge on 20 September. The junior league does not run a round in September with its 6 and final round being in October - Jiwan Dhaliwal and Bill Barwood still hold 3rd and 5th place in that league
