Bridge in the latter end of 2025 turned into a difficult year we would mostly happily forget but it has finally come to an end. Hamilton Bridge is now on holiday with the Club closed for regular bridge until late January
Summer Bridge for 2026 commences on 6th January - the Club will be running five sessions of Bridge each week - see below for the dates
Subscription notices for 2026 will be sent shortly to all members - the increase in the subscription from last year is due to an increase in the NZ Bridge's Levy which while the Club absorbed the rise last year is unable to do in 2026.
Programme Books for next year have been delivered with those who played during the last week of the bridge year you should have your copy. For those who would like to see the programme prior bridge restarting in 2026, there is each session's programme on the front of our web site under the Info TAB - click here ( the dates are correct as at the date the information was placed on the web site but confirm dates when your programme book arrives )
Learner Lessons run by the Club in 2025 had very good year with it being close to a record number of learners taking part and hopefully returning to the Club in 2026 as full members. Our intention is to run lessons using the same format in the first quarter of 2026.
Our updated Constitution required for the shortly to be invoked 2022 Act was approved by the Registrar of Incorporated Society's effective end November 2025. The Club will be advising all members in the new year of what these changes are and how the members will be effected. Details can he found here if interested !
The repair of the building roof will continue as as funds allow. While the peaked part of the roof was repaired a year of two back the buildings flat roof has had minimal repair work with the result being the flat roof over the kitchen is now in urgent need of repair. This is planned to commence early into the new year.
